Minimise accounting jargon

Most entries make no reference to debits and credits although full double-entry journals are maintained for your accountant to review if necessary.

Enter a cheque or invoice, click record and the program does the rest. There's no such thing as "posting" journals to a general ledger. MYOB automatically updates all related accounts. There's also no need to "close" one month before starting a new month. Many accounting systems make you stop doing business while they catch up.

On-screen forms look just like they do on paper

Rather than make you change the way you do business, MYOB products mimic the way you currently do business. That's why our cheque and invoice windows look just as they do on paper - there's nothing new to learn.

Fix the inevitable errors easily

We know no one's perfect that's why we made it easy for you to find and fix errors. All enquiry windows feature unique zooming arrows. Once you find the transaction, click the zooming arrow to trace back to the original entry which can be easily reviewed and changed.

Intuitive flowchart guides you

The MYOB Family uses a unique graphic interface, called command centres, to organise all accounting functions logically. Each command centre has an intuitive flowchart to guide you.

Go where you want, when you want

There are no artificial constraints that force you to complete entering information in one area before dashing somewhere else for information. For example, you may be in the middle of processing the payroll (using MYOB Accounting with Payroll) when a customer calls asking for an explanation of their latest statement. Simply move to a different window, look up the figures, and when the customer is satisfied resume where you left off with the payroll. You'd be surprised how many accounting systems make you cancel or complete one thing before allowing you to do anything else.

To help you quickly make sense of the state of your business and what needs to be done our programs include a unique To Do List. Visit the powerful To Do List every morning to review an instant summary of every area of your business. Clicking on a single button will help you answer questions like "Who owes me money?" or in MYOB "Have any inventory items dropped below my preset reorder level?"

The To Do List also helps you act. For example, tick off the supplier invoices you want to pay and press "Record". It's that simple.
